My Review of the Netflix Series Versailles!
I have been looking for another show to binge and get obsessed with since my love affair with Downton Abbey and Outlander. My best friend for a few years kept telling me to check out Versailles on Netflix and I have had this series saved to my list for two years. Last week, I finally caved and started watching it and all I have to say is WOW! This show is amazing but sadly only three seasons! Versailles is about King Louis XIV and his obsession and quest to make Versailles what it is today. Soon Versailles becomes a hot bed of love, war, politics and murder! There is a…

Old Hollywood Biographies That I Recommend!
I have always been fascinated by Hollywood specifically old Hollywood. The stars from the 20’s-50’s especially. Times were so different back then when studio executives ruled supreme and played the ultimate decision makers in regards to how their actors lived and how they worked or didn’t work. These autobiograhies are filled with first hand account from the actors themselves. I much prefer to hear from them directly when possible and they do not disappoint! The secret affairs, pregnancies and behind the scences drama will keep you shocked and wanting more! I have listed all of the ones that I can remember reading. I hope you try them out and enjoy…

The White Queen- My Review
Hello, my lovely Royal Daily Tea family! I have another great movie and book recommendation for you today! The book The White Queen was written by Philippa Gregory a well renowned historical fiction author. Philippa has a whole series on the royals during the War of Roses time period. The war of the roses is one of my favorite times in history where you had the royal battle of two households for the throne of England. You had the House of Plantagenets two branches the Lancasters and the Yorks. The White Queen focuses on the York side of the battle with the main focus on Elizabeth Woodville who would later…

Dark Angel ( British TV Series)- Movie Review
I am a huge fan of Downtown Abbey and especially Joanna Froggatt. I have watched her in several movies and every time I have enjoyed them more and more. She is fastly becoming one of my favorite tv actresses. A few months ago the BBC released a mini-series called Dark Angel starring Joanna Froggatt. I did not see the original release but I was able to catch this 3 part series on Amazon Prime (USA edition). If you get this, I highly recommend this show, loosely based on a real person and story! Dark Angel is adapted from the book Mary Ann Cotton: Britain’s First Female Serial Killer by David…

Vanity Fair Season 1 Review- Amazon Prime
I am a lover of period pieces and historical fiction. These are my go-to vices when aimlessly searching for something to binge-watch on Netflix or Amazon. I came across Vanity Fair several months ago and saved it in my favorites before I finally sat down and watched it. I loved it! Seriously, I was hooked from the beginning! The main character of Rebecca Sharp is a girl born of meager and humble background but has grand plans for herself and her future. Rebecca schemes her way through 19th-century English high society and will stop at nothing to get what she wants. This adaption of Vanity Fair has a modern twist…
